Integration

A seismic or geological interpretation can only be correct if it is consistent with all other data types. These include engineering data such as pressure and production, petrophysical results such as fluid contacts and geomechanical moduli, dipmeter and image log data, and regional/local stratigraphy and structural geology. Lago personnel are highly experienced in multi-disciplinary integration, having performed detailed reservoir studies and having developed exploratory prospects around the world.  We will ask why, for example, a structurally high wellbore produces large volumes of water, or why a well that is located in a small fault block has cumulative oil production that exceeds the estimated in-situ volume.  The answers to such questions always result in additional opportunities. Many of our projects have been associated with reservoir simulation, requiring highly detailed and tightly integrated 3D static models.  The level of technical rigor applied to these studies often results in the identification of infill or step-out drilling opportunities even before the simulation work is completed and enhanced recovery programs implemented.  This allows Lago’s clients to achieve an early economic return on their investments in our reservoir studies.
