Virtually all of Lago Petroleum Consulting’s studies result in the calculation of in-situ volumes for the evaluation of exploration prospects, development drilling campaigns, asset acquisitions, and enhanced recovery programs.  Our interpretation results - maps, cross-sections, seismic attributes, and 3D subsurface models - serve as the foundation for these estimates, and the tangible justification for investment decisions.

Using our seismic interpretations, integrated with engineering, petrophysical, and geological data, map-based deterministic and probabilistic volumetrics can be performed in a straightforward fashion.  Taking the work to a higher level of technical rigor, involves merging all of the interpretations and well data into 3D static models.  The structural model, or container, is constructed using depth maps, well picks and fault planes.  Once the container is built, the model is populated with rock properties via stochastic or deterministic methods, often through the integration of seismic attribute and inversion analyses.

Those same results are critical input to decision risk analysis and economic evaluation.  Lago staff have extensive experience in performing economic evaluations, in conjunction with client engineering and geoscience teams.
