About Lago

Lago Petroleum Consulting was founded in 2006, to provide geological and geophysical support to oil and gas production companies around the world, helping them discover and develop oil and gas reserves.  Using a large portfolio of industry-leading software tools, Lago has performed numerous exploration and development projects involving both conventional and unconventional reservoirs.  We specialize in detailed, technically rigorous, 2D and 3D seismic interpretation to properly image complex structural targets, and delineate subtle stratigraphic traps.  Lago has significant experience in constructing 3D velocity models in areas of complex geology, such as thrust belts and salt basins.  Integrating closely with geologists, petrophysicists, and engineers, we conduct seismic forward modeling, attribute analysis, and seismic inversion studies to identify reservoir lithology, fluid variations, geomechanical properties, and fracture intensity.  Lago also designs and supervises seismic data acquisition and processing programs, including parameter choice based on specific imaging criteria.

Lago is headquartered in Denver, Colorado (USA).  All of our technical personnel or consultants have at more than 25 years of industry experience.  Project work is performed either in our offices, or on-site in client offices.  While on-site, we are fully-capable of using applications on Lago’s workstations via remote access.
